Peter Haider

Peter Haider is a peace activist and the President of Universal Peace Federation (UPF) Austria. He was born in 1954 in Austria and has studied Korean culture and language in South Korea. In 1984 he established the “Forum Religion und Weltgestaltung” in order to provide a forum for dialogue and understanding between different religions.

Mr. Peter Haider has served as the President of the Family Federation for World Peace in Austria from 1990 to 1992. Through the organization he organized exchanging events between young Austrians and former Yugoslavians. He has also been the Senior Advisor of the Family Federation for World Peace in Brazil in 1997 and 1998.

Since 2002, he has served as the President of Universal Peace Federation in Austria. UPF is a global network of individuals and organizations who work for peace and harmony between nations and religions in the world. Mr. Peter and his colleagues has organized more then 300 events such as peace education, world music concerts, discussion platforms and cultural events in Vienna, Austria. His team has also organized several conferences in the UN Office in Vienna.

Recently, he has established the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace and Interreligious Association for Peace and Development in Austria.
